Ballet Nepantla Presents Mística

Honoring our ancestors through dance, spirit, and tradition

As Día de Muertos approaches, Ballet Nepantla invites audiences on a journey that bridges the seen and unseen, the living and the ancestral. Mística is more than a performance—it’s an experience that celebrates identity, memory, and the enduring power of cultural expression through movement.

Ballet Nepantla’s Mística honors our ancestors by celebrating the creative and spiritual energies of our Indigenous, Afro, and Hispanic roots. The production commemorates the traditions of Día de Muertos and transports audiences into the afterlife through the mesmerizing use of blacklight and Ballet Nepantla’s signature fusion of ballet folklórico and contemporary dance. This breathtaking tour continues next week, with a special stop at the San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum on Saturday, October 25, 2025. (San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum, 2025)
