Inaugurated in 1997 by the late, great Tito Puente, the “King of Latin Music,” and envisioned by George Ramirez, the festival has entertained tens of thousands, expanded its musical boundaries, and brought life and tourism to the region.

Inspired by Tito’s visit, the festival also gives back — offering free clinics, master classes, and performances that have educated hundreds of music students and working artists.
