The El Paseo Arts Foundation’s next production opens this week at the South Padre Island Convention Center. Opening night is Thursday, January 22, and the show runs through Sunday, January 25, 2026. (El Paseo Arts Foundation, 2026)

A laugh-a-minute and touching comedy about friendships that last a lifetime.

This heartwarming play follows five Southern women whose friendships began years ago on their college swim team. Each August, they set aside a long weekend to reconnect, free from husbands, kids, and careers. They reunite at the same beach cottage, the “Sweet Delilah,” on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, where they catch up, laugh, and lovingly meddle in each other’s lives.
